No Exhaust

Posted by Picasa The exhaust pipe fell off with about 30 miles to go. The bike runs faster and louder without the end pipe. Stupid environment.

Back on the course

Posted by Picasa This is part of the only paved (or semi paved) portion of the course. In a bout a mile the course goes off road again and I'll have about 40 miles to go starting with some of the roughest in the course.

150 Miles later

As you can see there aren't many photos of actual racing other than at certain pit stops because the race is out in the middle of mountains and desert and not easy to access. So here's the first photo of me 70 miles after Scott handed me the bike, 150 miles after the last photo we saw of him and with only about 40 miles left in the race. Posted by Picasa

Long way to go

Scott with about 80 more miles until he hands it off to me. Posted by Picasa

The Course

The race course is out there in the mountains. 240 miles and it's as rough as it is beautiful Posted by Picasa

A trial run to make sure the bike was running OK. Posted by Picasa

Bike Prep

Me cleaning out the carb and prepping the race bike. Nothing like grease and beach sand to make for a comfortable day. Posted by Picasa

Before

My brother Scott and I raced in the Tecate-SCORE San Felipe 250 in March. Here is us at the parent's house before leaving for Baja. Posted by Picasa
